How can I get the RTA learning permit?

What is the duration of the desert driving course?

<ul><li>Students need to be above the age of 17 years and 6 months to start their lessons for Light Motor Vehicle. The license will be issued only upon the completion of 18 years of age.</li><li>Student must be an Emirati national or possess a valid residency visa from the UAE.</li></ul>

What is the eligibility criteria to learn driving and acquire a license in the Emirate?

<p>Yes, provided the submission of the following documents from your end, in addition to the regular requirements while opening a file with us:</p><ul><li>&nbsp;Trade license copy of the Dubai office as well as of visa holding Emirate.</li><li>&nbsp;Letter from the company stating that you are presently working in Dubai office/ branch.</li></ul>

Where can I get my eye test done from?

Can a student get a license within registered classes?

<p>Yes, we would require the following documents and you can start your training</p><ol><li>Passport copy (valid Residence Visa).</li><li>Letter from previous driving school stating the number of classes already taken along with NOC.</li><li>Original Emirates Identity Card (E.I.D).</li></ol>

I have an open file with another driving institute, can I transfer my file to Excellence Driving?

<p>Yes, If you are a student holding a license from another country, the student will be eligible for reduced classes (If approved by the Road Transport Authority) to acquire a UAE license,</p><ol><li>Valid license from home country existing between 2 – 5 years = 30 class courses</li><li>Valid license from home country older than 5 years = 20 class courses</li></ol><p>&nbsp;</p><div class="raw-html-embed">Click <a href="https://www.excellencedriving.com/" target="_blank" style="color:blue">here</a> to review the course fees</div><p><br>&nbsp;</p>

I have a license from my home country, would that make a difference in the course I need to enrol for?

How many days are required to start the lectures and practical training?

<ul><li>Yes, a manual license holder can drive both gear vehicles, automatic and manual. However, an automatic license holder is permitted to drive an automatic-gear vehicle only.</li></ul>

Is there a different license to drive a manual or automatic gear vehicle?

<p>If you’re a student who does not hold a driving license, you will be considered a ‘Beginner’ and you will be registering as a 40-class student with practical training and tests to obtain your UAE driving license.</p>

Who are considered beginners?

Is there any option for the people who require getting a Driving license on a fast or urgent basis? 

<ul><li>You will be marked as absent for class/test.</li><li>To reappear for the class/test, you must Repay the amount according to the course selected.</li></ul>

What if I am absent for my Class/test?

<p>You can inform the EDC helpline by dialing 600 51 51 54 at least 48 hours in advance to stop the class or by visiting the nearest branch/Headquarters.</p>

 If I can't attend a training class, how can I cancel it?

<p>In the event you forgot your password, follow these steps to restore it:</p><ul><li>&nbsp;Click on “Forgot Password?” it can be found on the “Student Login” page on the Excellence Driving website or Excellence Driving Application.</li><li>The “Reset Password” window will appear, then fill in the required field (Enter the registered mobile number used during registration)</li><li>A notification will pop up that the OTP has been sent to the registered mobile number.</li><li>Enter the OTP received, then pick a “New Password” and click on reset password.</li><li>Password should be strong containing six characters.</li><li>Re-login with the New Password created.</li></ul>
